we are launching a fundraising campaign to help our partners in the Tuzlovski Lagoon National Nature Park in Ukraine. Our goal is to provide funds for basic necessities, medicines and equipment needed in this difficult time.
The park management is one of the Ukrainian partners in the “LIFE for Safe Flight” project. They are responsible for the management and protection of one of the most valuable natural coastal areas in Ukraine – a stopover site, wintering and nesting ground for thousands of waterfowls. Within the project, they have a leading role in the activities in Ukraine and are responsible for monitoring of wintering birds and combating poaching. Among the team’s staff is Dr. Ivan Rusev, a Bessarabian Bulgarian and prominent environmentalist and ornithologist who has worked for decades to conserve Ukraine’s biodiversity.
Some of the things for which the collected funds will be used are medicines, tents, blankets, observation tubes, lanterns, solar panels for recharging, power banks. We at BSPB will support them both as an organization and individually. We are committed to purchase the necessary equipment and send it to the management of the Tuzlovski Lagoon Nature Park. Get involved by sending funds to our bank account:
